Summer! Summer! Please come fast
This winter snow just seems to last
I'm sad inside and all bogged down
My lips they wear a sad, sad frown
I want the sun and flowers too
To see the birds fly in the blue
The hope is there within my reach
A lesson life is trying to teach
Loving life through darkest day
With greater joy in brightest May
Through patience I am taugh to wait
Until I pass through Summer's gate
The dream's still there but I'm not blind
It's hope that I'm required to find
